What do I mean by that? Dogs deserve a good life. Don’t get a dog if you just think they’re cute but your busy schedule doesn’t allow you to give it sufficient time. A dog is not a prop in your life; a dog is not an accessory, because it’s fluffy, or your relationship got boring. Dogs shouldn’t be so spoiled that they can’t function in the world around humans or other dogs, and your dog is not exempt from being trained good behavior.
Much like the belief that if you can’t afford to tip, don’t go out to eat, if you can’t afford to give you dog the time and things it needs, don’t get a dog.
My dog is spoiled with love, receives ample attention, high-quality nutrition, and safe toys. She gets regular vet visits, wonderful grooming, and is socialized.
On a lighter note, having my dog has brought incredible joy to my life. As dog lovers and owners know, the love of a dog is truly a blessing. My fluffy nugget is the friendliest dog I have ever met. If you’ve met her, you know her tail wags and happy disposition are a staple in the Isabelle box set. I worked really hard with her early on to get her socialized to as much as possible, and in the end, I created a furry monster. She brings joy to everyone she meets, and I feel lucky every day to have her.
I decided to open this tab after some overwhelming feedback, and I’ll be posting more on pet ownership and its struggles and triumphs.
I hope everyone has a PAWESOME day celebrating the four-legged furbabes in their life. If you don’t have a dog to celebrate, feel free to send extra love to Izzy today!
Here are some Isabelle dog facts:
1) Her full name is Isabelle Irene
2) She was rescued when she was just a small puppy
3) Her tongue is too big for her mouth and she makes silly faces on the reg.
4) She loves to play hide and seek
5) She can’t catch things at all and has extreme dog fail moments when she tries
Do you celebrate national dog day? Do you have dogs / love dogs? Let me know!
Thanks for stopping by!
