I started glamcadet when I realized I needed a better way to stay in touch with friends and family. As I set out on new adventures, I was determined to make staying connected as easy as possible. What started as a small project quickly became a great way to share my new life adventures, and before long, a blog was born.
The name “glamcadet” represents my take on a fashion and lifestyle blog and – fun fact – hides my initials right in the middle.
The longer I blogged, the more I realized the importance of a voice, not just for identity but for the representation of myself with the world as I experienced it. Bringing awareness to issues that are important to me, while still having fun and truly capturing the heart of the blog, has been humbling and rewarding. I hope glamcadet can give you a glimpse into my every-day life and be a source of inspiration to anyone pursuing their creative dreams and thinking outside the box!
A little bit more about me:
I’m an only child who made her way from a small town in the Midwest to chase her dreams in the big city. My career is in IT, and as a woman in leadership, I remain conscious to drive the dialogue forward about women in the workplace. I’m passionate about leaving a positive impact on those around me, and if you know me, I am probably your #1 cheerleader. I’m also a dancer, a dog mom, and overall a pretty goofy person. I like to stay active and am always down to try a new work out or explore something new. If I’m keeping it more chill, I’ll usually catch a show or play some games.
