Love her or hate her, Kylie Jenner knows how to not only sell but sell-out of a lip gloss. Some of her biggest collections have been limited release, typically selling out in minutes. As I’ve ventured into beauty blogging, I knew I had to check out the hype. What started with a single lip kit has evolved into a minor obsession. As with any purchase that passes through my pocketbook, the products endure heavy scrutiny when determining if they live up to their promises.
In the land of lipsticks, wearability is king, and in this case, it’s King Kylie. The colors look great on all different skin tones, the formula is long-wearing, and there’s great color payoff. In her first-time kollab with sister Khloe, the KoKo collection was born, and I knew it was a must-have. The official colors were KHLO$, OKURR, DAMN GINA, and GORG.
For those who find Kylie cosmetics a little pricey, the kits are a great starting point. It scores high with versatility and value. The Koko Kollection has four full-sized lip colors and sold for just $40 and an intense supply and demand deadline.
Before the kollab was announced, I’d never attempted to get any of the products on release day. I’d heard it was a difficult process, with inventory often selling out within minutes. When the site opened for sales, I was sent to a waiting screen within five seconds, before I could even get the item in my cart. In the site’s holding area, it explains to buyers that there are so many customers attempting the same activity that you’re waiting until your turn to get to a checkout screen if the inventory level is available. Several minutes passed, and I got to my cart to check out. After entering all my info, I waited for the transaction to complete. A few more minutes later, I had an order confirmation, the kollection was sold out, and I survived my first shopping experience of a Kylie product launch. Little did I know this would be valuable for future releases… but more on that later!
My order shipped so quickly and I had the products in my hands just days later. Check out the colors and let me know your faves! :)-MC

All three shades are very pretty but my favorite shade is the top picture.
